Ferrari has commenced their annual 'wake up test' to get ready for the new season at Fiorano, with Carlos Sainz taking to the wheel of the SF21. The test session has been a regular feature for Ferrari over the past few years, proving useful for drivers, mechanics and engineers to get back into the swing of things on track. Ferrari Hypercar driver, Antonio Giovinazzi, completed 35 laps on Tuesday morning in the tricky wet and cold conditions. He handed over to official development and reserve driver, Robert Shwartzman, who took to the track to complete 77 laps for the day. Three Ferrari Driver Academy students, Arthur Leclerc (brother of Charles), Maya Weug and newcomer Aurelia Nobels, were in the garage to observe how F1 teams operate. Sainz will be next on track ahead of competing in his third season for Ferrari in F1. The team plan to launch their 2023 challenger on 14th February .
