The Andretti F1 project is set to be powered by Ferrari when it joins the grid in 2026.

The new 11th F1 team, which is being backed by American automotive giant General Motors, will expand the grid to 22 cars for the final time in 10 years.

Tsunoda makes Red Bull F1 debut

Yuki Tsunoda has made his first official F1 appearance for Red Bull at the post-season test in Abu Dhabi.

Tsunoda had previously only ever driven older Red Bull machinery and never stepped foot behind the wheel of an up-to-date challenger despite his long association with the project.

Wolff leaves Hamilton emotional Mercedes goodbye voice message

Toto Wolff has sent Lewis Hamilton what he claims is "the most important message" between the pair following the culmination of the seven-time F1 champion's F1 career with Mercedes.

After 12 years with the team, including winning six of his titles, Hamilton bowed out on Sunday on a relative high by rising to fourth at the chequered flag of the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after starting the race from a lowly 16th on the grid.

Astonishing revelations made in Schumacher family blackmail case

The trial of three suspects accused of blackmailing the family of seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher has started in Germany - and involved an astonishing confession.

A member of Schumacher's security detail, Markus Fritsche, is one of those on trial in Wuppertal, accused by German prosecutors of stealing 1,500 images and 200 videos and then demanding €15 million to prevent them from being made available on the dark web.

Horner pokes fun at McLaren after F1 title scare

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has congratulated McLaren on its title victory in Abu Dhabi as he acknowledged the team likely suffered raised blood pressure as a result of Max Verstappen's botched overtake attempt.

McLaren started the race in a comfortable position with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri filling out the first row on the grid.

Bottas labels Sauber switch 'a mistake' in damning exit

Valtteri Bottas has labelled his decision to move to Sauber in 2022 as "a mistake" following his exit from F1. 

The veteran Finn is without a full-time seat for 2025 after what is now Stake opted to sign F2 title winner Gabriel Bortoleto to partner Nico Hulkenberg, meaning Bottas must make do with a reserve role, and is likely to return to Mercedes.
