Ferrari is the F1 team under the most pressure to perform heading into the 2026 season, according to fans of the championship.
The storied Italian team catastrophically underwhelmed last year, slumping to fourth in the constructors' standings whilst failing to register a grand prix victory.
Charles Leclerc was one of the few bright points of a torrid campaign, carrying the Scuderia to seven podiums in an SF-25 that was a pale imitation of its predecessor.
Having ended 2024 second in the championship, and just 14 points behind McLaren in the table, there were great expectations for what lay ahead.
With Lewis Hamilton joining Leclerc and Fred Vasseur at the helm, the anticipation was that — at the least — the Prancing Horse would again contend for its first title since 2008.
That proved not to be the case, and the seven-time F1 drivers' champion massively disappointed, submitting the only podiumless season of his 19-year F1 career.
Therefore, with sweeping regulations changes promising to alter the face of F1, Ferrari is under the most pressure to steal a march on its rivals — but whether the Maranello-based squad can is another proposition.
In a recent poll conducted by RacingNews365, almost 47 per cent of voters cast the brightest spotlight on Ferrari, more than 30 per cent higher than second-placed McLaren, which is defending its crown.
