The Cadillac F1 Team has successfully completed its first shakedown at Silverstone, an important milestone for the newest team in the pinnacle of motorsport.
It is an exciting period for Cadillac as it prepares for its first pre-season test in Formula 1, with a shakedown having been completed at Silverstone – the home of the British Grand Prix – on Friday.
For the American outfit it is an important achievement, with Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez having been able to see the car on trackfor the first time. It is currently unknown who was behind the wheel.
Given the size of the regulation change in F1, ensuring everything is working is pivotal ahead of the Barcelona test.
Cadillac shared a short clip of its car in a black livery at a very wet Silverstone, with it being the first time a Ferrari power unit has been heard since the introduction of the new rules.
Alongside Cadillac, Audi are the only other F1 team to have completed a shakedown. The German manufacturer was in Barcelona last week, while Red Bull and Racing Bulls became the first to unveil its 2026 liveries on Thursday evening in Detroit.
