Ferrari executive chairman John Elkann has issued a statement following Lewis Hamilton's sensational victory at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.
Hamilton secured his first win with the Italian squad as Mercedes was defeated for the first time this year.
Having endured a tough run of form in 2025 with Ferrari, Hamilton has enjoyed a much more positive run this year and grabbed several podiums in the opening rounds before winning in Barcelona.
It marked the 106th win of his career, but no doubt rests as one of the most special as he took to the top step on the podium in red for the first time.
The achievement was lauded by Elkann, who released a message shortly after the end of the race in Barcelona.
"Well done Lewis, on your first great victory with Ferrari: an emotional moment and a very important result, which belongs to the entire team and to all our fans,” Elkann said.
“I would like to thank everyone for the determination, sacrifice and collective effort that they demonstrate every day with passion and Ferrari spirit, both at the track and in Maranello.”
Elkann also had a short statement of support for its efforts at Le Mans, with Ferrari's leading entry coming home in fifth place.
“My thanks also go to the other Ferrari team, which tackled an incredibly demanding 24 Hours of Le Mans with pride, unity and great professionalism, fighting until the very end. Forza Ferrari."
