Lewis Hamilton will be replaced by Le Mans 24 Hours winner Antonio Fuoco in Free Practice 1 for this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix.
Fuoco won the 2024 Le Mans race for the works Ferrari team, and has been an occasional tester for the F1 team, last driving in the 2024 young driver test after the Abu Dhabi season-finale.
The Italian first sampled F1 machinery in 2015 and also drove in 2020 and 2021 young driver tests for the team.
Mexico City is to be the first of two FP1 sessions, Hamilton misses to fulfil his mandatory two rookie driver slots.
The Briton is to also step out of the SF-25 in Abu Dhabi, given of the final five races, two are Sprints and one is in Las Vegas, leaving Mexico and Abu Dhabi as Hamilton's only options.
Team-mate Charles Leclerc fulfilled his two sessions earlier in the year, with Dino Beganovic deputising in both Bahrain and Austria.
Max Verstappen is to also step out for Red Bull in FP1 in Mexico for Red Bull's F2 protege Arvid Lindblad.
