Aston Martin's championship hopes have seemingly evaporated before the season has even begun.
Pre-season testing exposed a catastrophic reality as both the AMR26 and Honda power unit faced various problems.
For Fernando Alonso, now 44 years old, it represents a cruel twist after joining Aston Martin with renewed championship ambitions, a situation that grew in excitement following the arrival of Adrian Newey.
The Spaniard has maintained optimism, but the situation has already led to speculation over what it means for the two-time champion's F1 future.
It prompted RacingNews365 to ask you, the fans, what you think Alonso's next move should be.
Almost half of the respondents declared that Alonso should wait until the summer break before making a decision.
The second most favoured option, however, advised Alonso to take a contract extension should it be offered to him, regardless of where the car is in the pecking order.
