Norris taught a lesson

The one thing Norris has never done in his F1 career is consistently fight at the front of the field for wins against a canny operator like Verstappen. 

As Jake Nichol argues, this was the best lesson for Norris going forward.

Gasly's Ocon claim

In non-Verstappen vs Norris Austria news, the relationship between Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon can be described as 'broken.'

Ocon is leaving the team at the end of the year - but raced Gasly hard in Austria as they fought over a points finish. Gasly eventually took 10th - benefiting from the You Know What between You Know Who on Lap 64.

But the one-time grand prix winner not far from happy with Ocon's conduct.

Aston Martin's intriguing signing

News also came through today of a rather interesting appointment from Aston Martin. 

Andy Cowell, the former managing director of Mercedes High-Performance Powertrains and the guru behind its extraordinary engine success is coming aboard as Group CEO. 

He will be replacing Martin Whitmarsh, the former McLaren team principal stepping down.
