F1 season-defining question asked as title fight intensity ramps up

F1 returns with the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend, and there are some major questions hanging over the second half of the season.

After the dog days of summer, F1 is heading to Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix, in doing so, kicking off the second half of the season.

With 11 rounds in the books and — presumably — 11 more to go, Kimi Antonelli holds a healthy 50-point advantage over Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship standings.

But the tension is only going to ramp up from here — and can the Mercedes driver hold his nerve against the most decorated man in the championship's illustrious history?

George Russell is the person with the most to prove heading out of the summer shutdown, and he will be looking to re-mount his title charge from 59 points adrift.

In certain circles, there is a reluctance to count Charles Leclerc and, in particular, Lando Norris out of the running. But with the McLaren driver — fresh off his first victory of the campaign — 91 points back, will it be a case of too little, too late?

Then there is the ever-imperious Max Verstappen. It will not be a fifth F1 drivers' championship this term (surely not), but could he send yet another statement and score the most points over the second half of the year?

Then there are the outside bets in Oscar Piastri, who has not looked himself so far this season, and Isack Hadjar, who is enjoying a quietly impressive start to life at Red Bull.

So, with all that in mind, which driver will score the most points over the second half of the F1 campaign? Let us know by voting below in the latest poll by RacingNews365!
