Rookie Oscar Piastri has been listed as the driver who has gifted a Formula 1 team the best value for money.
The Australian, on a salary of estimated $2 million, scored 97 points throughout his first season in F1 as McLaren resurged from back-of-the-field competition to consistent podium-scoring form.
Fernando Alonso comes in second place after a successful first season with Aston Martin, while his team-mate Lance Stroll rounded out the top three.
Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, despite being on the highest salary, is placed in the top half of the best value for money list as he dominated the past season en route to his third title.
Regarding the most expensive drivers, that label is given to veterans Kevin Magnussen and Valtteri Bottas who drove uncompetitive machinery for most of the year.
The salary figures below are approximate from multiple sources. Nyck de Vries, Liam Lawson and Daniel Ricciardo are not included in this overview because they did not drive a full season.
