The F1 calendar has expanded - and changed - considerably over the past few seasons, with more races, more street circuits and more non-European destinations across the 24 round season.
Many of those venues are temporary, uncharted territory, or both. There have, however, been some locations and races to return to F1 over the past decade - such as the Austrian Grand Prix and the Mexican Grand Prix (now known as Mexico City).
Riding the wave of Williams' stand-in driver Franco Colapinto, Argentina is looking to host a grand prix for the first time since 1998.
However, when put against legacy events such as the German Grand Prix, a potential and long-overdue return to South Africa, and well-missed Malaysian Grand Prix, a return to the South American nation fell short, garnering less than 8% of the vote.
France also struggled, with only 6.24%, despite its history in F1 and the fact 'grand prix' is French, too.
The biggest surprise, however, is the Turkish Grand Prix drawing a measly 3.60%. Korea, which is actively exploring options for an F1 return, also failed to gain interest from respondents.
