Sergio Perez put a massive dent in his hopes of both finishing second in the championship and holding onto his Red Bull seat following his Turn 1 accident at his home Mexico City Grand Prix.
The Mexican attempted to send the RB19 flying around the outside in the first braking zone during the race, but pole-sitter Charles Leclerc was caught in a Red Bull sandwich with Max Verstappen to his outside - meaning he had nowhere to go.
Perez was sent flying into the run-off with the car retired after suffering severe floor and sidepod damage - as Lewis Hamilton banked 19 points for a second place and fastest lap to reduce the deficit to Perez to 20 points with three races and a Sprint to go.
In repsonse, RacingNews365 asked readers to vote on whether Perez was right to make the move - with the votes, shown below in the table, coming down firmly against the six-time Grand Prix winner.
