F1 fans have comprehensively backed Franco Colapinto to retain his Alpine seat for the rest of the season after replacing Jack Doohan.
Colapinto is to take over Doohan's seat for the next five grands prix, starting from this weekend's Emilia Romagna GP, and up to and including the Austrian GP in July.
This is to evaluate him alongside Pierre Gasly, with a decision then being made ahead of Silverstone as to who will continue for the rest of the season.
However, according to the results of a RacingNews365 poll, a firm majority of fans believe that the Argentine will continue for the rest of the campaign, which means Doohan will not return.
A total of 65.28% of votes felt Colapinto, who drove for Williams in the second-half of 2024, will be at the team until the end of the season, whilst 13.63% felt another swap would be made at some point.
Doohan's chances of a return were viewed as slim by voters, with just 5.37% believing the Australian would get another chance.
