2026 F1 Belgian Grand Prix - Spa weather forecast
F1 drivers are currently forecast to have their first taste of driving the 2026 cars in wet conditions in competition during this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.
As of 12:45 BST on Monday, July 13th, the current weather forecasts for Spa are predicting a wet weekend throughout, with all three days of track action affected by rain - something which has not yet happened in competition this season.
Some drivers, like Lewis Hamilton, Pierre Gasly, and the Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad, have run in wet conditions either during pre-season shakedowns or in special Pirelli tyre testing, but thus far, no competitive session across a grand prix weekend has been run in fully wet conditions.
The start of the Canadian GP was affected by sprinkles, but most of the field took slick tyres for the launch.
Current forecasts estimate a percentage chance of rain of around 50%-67% on both Friday and Saturday, with this falling to around 39% chance of rain for Sunday's 15:00 local time start in the Ardennes Forest.
Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-20s throughout, with winds coming roughly from the north-west, which corresponds to a tail-wind down the Kemmel Straight, which runs directly south, and a head-wind into the Bus-Stop chicane to end the lap.
