F1 has confirmed it is to held a special tribute to the late Eddie Jordan ahead of this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix.
Former team principal and pundit Jordan died on Thursday after a battle against prostate and bladder cancer, having been diagnosed in 2024.
The Irishman was the boss of his eponymous Jordan Grand Prix squad when it joined the F1 grid in 1991 - famously giving Michael Schumacher his debut at that year's Belgian Grand Prix.
Jordan GP was one of the most popular teams on the grid, and won four grands prix, and even challenged McLaren and Ferrari for the 1999 world championship, but finished third, before Jordan sold up ahead of 2005.
That team today races as Aston Martin, who is already running a special tribute on its AMR25 machine, as F1 has announced its own tribute to the man known simply as 'EJ.'
Prior to the start of the race, at 13:00 local time, a ceremony will be held teams gathering on the grid to mark Jordan's life and career, just before the drivers' parade.
