Carlos Sainz will start the British Grand Prix from pole position - his first in F1 - after topping a soaking wet qualifying session at Silverstone.
Ferrari driver Sainz pulled out a time of 1:40.983 on Intermediate tyres at the end of Q3 to eclipse Red Bull rival Max Verstappen, who recovered from a wild spin.
Charles Leclerc - who also spun - and Sergio Perez followed in the other Ferrari and Red Bull machines, as Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton completed the top five.
