Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc led home a Ferrari 1-2 in the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix after a highly dramatic conclusion to the race.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen pushed Leclerc hard in the early stages, with the pair going wheel-to-wheel after the first round of pit-stops, but his challenge faded amid technical issues and the Dutchman was forced into retirement just laps from the finish.
Carlos Sainz capitalised on the situation to follow teammate Leclerc home in second, with Lewis Hamilton claiming a surprise podium for Mercedes after Sergio Perez spun around on the final lap in the other Red Bull due to his own apparent problems.
