Sergio Perez will not race in the upcoming F1 season after being dropped by Red Bull at the end of the 2024 campaign.

The Mexican faces a year on the sidelines following his disastrous final year at Red Bull which saw him slump to eighth in the drivers' championship.

However, RacingNews365 understands Perez is in the running for a seat at the Cadillac squad which will enter as an 11th team in 2026.

Perez is known to have major backing from businessman Carlos Slim, and is one of the most experienced drivers, with 281 race starts - the eighth most in F1 history.

Cadillac is known to be searching for an experienced driver to form part of its line-up.

So, should Perez fill that role and make a return to the F1 grid next year with the American team?
