Lewis Hamilton has endured a difficult start to life as a Ferrari driver, with a podium yet to be claimed after 12 grands prix in red.

The seven-time world champion ended a 12-year stay at Mercedes to complete a dream move to Maranello, where he has partnered Charles Leclerc.

Carlos Sainz was forced to depart to allow the arrival of Hamilton, despite approaching the prime years of his racing career and having formed a strong relationship with the Scuderia.

The opening months of Hamilton's time as a Ferrari driver have been difficult, due to needing time to adjust to a drastically different car and different team culture.

There have been signs of genuine progress between the 40-year-old and the Italian outfit, as recently as the British Grand Prix.

Despite this, some have questioned if Ferrari made a mistake signing the 105-time race winner, given a podium is yet to be claimed and that Leclerc remains the bigger point-scorer.
