F1 drivers are set to be greeted with far more favourable conditions in the Chinese Grand Prix than the season-opener in Australia.

Heavy rain battered Melbourne on Sunday morning, leading to the cancellation of the F2 feature, with conditions improving a little before the F1 grand prix.

Rookie Isack Hadjar spun off on the formation lap, as fellow rookies Jack Doohan, Kimi Antonelli, Ollie Bearman, Gabriel Bortoleto, and Liam Lawson all suffered dramas as Lando Norris won from Max Verstappen.

Fortunately, for the field as F1 heads north to Shanghai, it is forecast to be a dry weekend throughout, with the first of six sprints planned.

Throughout the weekend, sunny skies are forecast, with temperatures hovering around the mid-20 degree mark.

For the race on Sunday, some cloud cover is possible but conditions will remain largely the same.

Throughout the on-track running, the wind will be blowing from the west, which roughly corresponds to a head-wind into Turn 1, and then a cross-wind through the twists of the second sector.
