Charles Leclerc and George Russell must visit the stewards following the Dutch Grand Prix after the pair collided.
Leclerc attempted a bold move on Russell at Turns 10 and 11 on lap 32 at Zandvoort, where he gained a position but after narrowly going off the circuit.
The Monegasque braked late at Turn 10 to go around the outside of Russell to gain the inside line at Turn 11; however, all four wheels crossed the white line on the inside of the corner.
In addition, contact was made between the pair, who almost came to blows again down the start/finish straight moments later.
Russell immediately complained over the radio, while Leclerc insisted the Mercedes driver could not argue with the overtake for fifth.
The Briton came out worse from the incident as his W16 sustained damage, resulting in the Silver Arrows allowing Kimi Antonelli to overtake him on lap 41.
It was deemed during the race that the investigation would take place following the conclusion of the race.
It marked the pair's latest incident after almost colliding prior to the summer break in Hungary, where Leclerc was penalised for driving erratically.
