Cadillac's troubling Austrian Grand Prix came to a painful end on Sunday as both cars peeled into the pit lane to retire from the race.
Both Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas lined up towards the back of the grid as the American team continues to get acclimatised to F1.
However, it was unable to take much learning from the grand prix as both drivers had overheating brakes.
Bottas was the first to report an issue as he stated that his brakes were on fire just a handful of laps into the race.
It is an issue that has sprouted its head already on a couple of occasions this year at Cadillac.
Moments after he came into the pits and his car was sprayed with extinguishing foam, team-mate Sergio Perez reported that he too had smoke in the cockpit.
The Mexican came into the pits, ensuring both Cadillacs were subject to non-finishes.
The team quickly confirmed that the cause of retirement for both cars was overheated brakes.
Perez will also be investigated for moving before the start signal.
