Valtteri Bottas will take on a new challenge in F1 in 2025, returning to Mercedes where he will fulfil reserve duties in support of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli.
After it was confirmed that Stake was letting him go towards the end of last season, the Finnish driver tapped into his inner whimsy, releasing a clothing brand entitled 'What's Next?' Some of the proceeds were donated to people who had recently found themselves out of work.
The 35-year-old has also taken to social media to poke fun at his changing circumstances, sharing a video online of him daydreaming about moving out of motorsport altogether.
In the short clip, set in a hairdresser, the 10-time grand prix winner fantasises about a new life where he is a barber, setting customers up with his famed blonde mullet.
Bottas will target a full-time return to F1 over the next year. With Cadillac slated to join the grid in 2026, he has been closely linked with one of the American team's seats for its debut season.
If opportunities in F1 do not come to fruition, Bottas told RacingNews365 in an exclusive interview that he would be interested in pursuing a move to either Australian Supercars or IndyCar.
