Oliver Bearman has been called to see the F1 stewards in China after an alleged impeding incident during qualifying.
Bearman exited qualifying in Q1 as his best effort in the session was only good enough for 17th.
However, prior to his early exit, Bearman was involved in an incident with Lance Stroll as the Aston Martin driver looked to consolidate his own fast lap.
Coming off the exit of Turn 13, Stroll was forced to manoeuvre off the racing line and go around Bearman as the Haas driver drifted back to the left side of the track while on a slow lap.
The incident was noted at the time, but the F1 stewards now wish to take the matter further and hear from both drivers.
Stroll successfully progressed into Q2 and is set to start the Chinese Grand Prix from 14th on the grid.
