Audi has officially launched its new F1 team in Munich ahead of the 2026 season, when it takes over the Sauber entry from Stake.
The German car giant is a stalwart of motorsport and is taking its first foray into the so-called pinnacle of that field, having not competed in grand prix racing since before the Second World War — and the formation of the Formula 1 championship.
Now, as F1 heads towards a new era with the upcoming power unit and chassis regulations overhaul this winter, the Hinwil-based squad, led by CEO Mattia Binotto and team principal Jonathan Wheatley, has released a new livery called the "R26 Concept” to mark the start of its next chapter.
Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto will continue racing for Audi next year, as they look to continue rising up the F1 pecking order under Audi power for the first time.
