F1 rookie Arvid Lindblad has revealed that Oliver Rowland is his "little superpower" ahead of his maiden campaign with Racing Bulls.

The British driver is the sole rookie on the 2026 grid and will partner Liam Lawson, who has been retained by the Red Bull sister team.

Lindblad has been fast-tracked through the junior categories to reach F1 at the age of 18, having only moved into single-seaters in 2022.

A significant figure behind his rise has been reigning Formula E world champion Rowland, who also serves as Lindblad’s manager.

Rowland has often been spotted in junior paddocks over the years, supporting and mentoring Lindblad—something the teenager recognises as crucial to his career.

An additional benefit of having Rowland in his corner this year is the 33-year-old’s experience in battery management from Formula E, which is expected to prove useful for Lindblad in F1.

Asked by talkSPORT if Rowland can offer him some tips, Lindblad replied: "Yeah, for sure. I mean, Ollie himself, not talking about the Formula E aspect, I've learned so much from him. It wasn't that long ago that he was on the ladder on the way up to F1.

"I'm massively grateful to him for his support, and it's a big reason why I've been able to come through the ranks so quickly.

"To have some of his expertise and advice and knowledge, especially in F2 and F3 it was a massive thing to be able to make the steps. For sure, yeah, it's a little superpower with Formula E.

"It's not the same. But yes, there is a battery-saving element. Whether it's battery saving or not, there's a bigger battery element in F1 of managing the PU, let's say.

"Having his knowledge of Formula E, where he's done so well there and really understood it and mastered it is definitely something I'll be picking his brains on a lot and trying to get the most out of."
