Arvid Lindblad has revealed he has completed his first driving lesson as the Racing Bulls driver attempts to obtain his road licence.
The British rookie is not currently able to drive on UK roads as he does not hold a full driving licence, despite competing in F1 and sitting 11th in the world championship with 20 points from the first 10 races of his career.
In the UK, drivers are able to begin driving, provided they have passed their theory and practical exams, from their 17th birthday, which was in August 2024 for Lindblad, who is due to turn 19 next month.
Amid the bussle of an F1 season, the Surrey-native has revealed he has begun the process of obtaining his licence, having already passed his theory test.
"It is a bit sad that I haven't got my licence," he told Sky Sports Cricket during coverage of the First One Day International between England and India at Edgbaston.
"It was funny for a bit, and now it is just getting a bit silly, so I am working on it.
"I had my first driving lesson yesterday, so yeah, I need to get it done."
