The Andretti Formula E team has announced an extension of its partnership with German automotive giant Porsche.

The deal will see Andretti continue to run the Porsche 99X Electric powertrain, a collaboration that began in Season 9.

Andretti and Porsche will continue to work until at least the end of Season 12.

“It’s an exciting time to be a part of Formula E and we feel confident in our position in the series, which is due in large part to our partnership with Porsche," says Michael Andretti, Chairman and CEO of Andretti Global.

"From day one our goal has been to win races and championships, and Porsche has helped us achieve both since joining forces in Season 9.

“With all the success we’ve shared with the GEN3 car, I can’t wait to see what we can do together in the GEN3 Evo era.”

Andretti and Porsche have enjoyed great success during their short time in partnership so far, winning a drivers' world championship, three race wins, 15 podium finishes, five fastest laps and 112 laps led.

“We are very pleased to announce the extension of the Andretti and Porsche agreement to work together for the next two seasons," adds Andretti Team Principal Roger Griffiths.

"There was never any doubt in our mind about who we'd want to be working with.

“We have had a very special relationship with Porsche Motorsport, both on and off the track, and we have seen an awful lot of success together. Hopefully, we can share more success in the future.

Andretti currently sits third in the teams' championship with 113 points.
