The co-owner of the Alpine F1 team, Rory McIlroy, has become just the sixth golfer in history to win all four majors after triumphing at The Masters.
Northern Irishman McIlroy finally claimed the elusive green jacket at Augusta after beating Englishman Justin Rose in a sudden-death play-off after they finished on -11 under par through the regulation 72 holes.
The pair then re-played the 18th hole in a sudden-death play-off, with both making it to within putting distance after two strokes.
Rose missed his third shot, allowing McIlroy a simple tap-in to become just the second golfer in the last 50 years, after Tiger Woods, to win The Masters, The Open, the US Open and the PGA Championship.
The other four are Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus.
In June 2023, McIlroy invested into the Alpine team as part of a consortium, including the likes of Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua and NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce - the boyfriend of Taylor Swift.
In the Bahrain Grand Prix, Alpine had its best showing of the season, with Pierre Gasly registering the first points haul for the Enstone team, banking a seventh-place finish.
