Fernando Alonso has been requested to report to the stewards over an incident in the Canadian Grand Prix.
The Spaniard – who started the race from an impressive P2 but finished in seventh – is being investigated for allegedly changing direction more than once, seemingly during a battle with Valtteri Bottas in the closing stages of the event.
Alonso and a team representative have been called to the stewards, as has Bottas and an Alfa Romeo representative, in relation to the incident.

An FIA document states that the Aston Martin driver is being investigated for potentially "failing to keep within 10 car lengths of the car in front behind the Safety Car at 15:10".
Meanwhile, Lando Norris has been issued with a five-second time penalty for speeding in the pit lane.
