Alex Albon and Williams have been summoned to see the stewards after qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
There was a strange incident during Q3 in Baku, with the 28-year-old seen peeling out of the pit lane with the airbox fan still attached to the top of his FW46.
It was almost immediately confirmed the incident would be investigated after the session, with an alleged breach of article 34.14 of the F1 sporting regulations: releasing the car in an unsafe condition.
As confirmed by the document detailing the summons, the investigation also relates to the manner in which Albon discarded the cooling equipment at the side of the circuit.
Having stopped just outside the pit lane, the two-time podium finisher was able to reach behind him and pull the fan from on top of him, pushing it to the side and continuing with his preparation lap.
Unfortunately for the Williams driver, the episode prevented him from being able to complete a final timed lap, meaning he will line up for Sunday's race in Baku in P10, pending any punishment from the FIA.
