Formula E returns this weekend after a four-week break, with a first visit to the Chinese island of Sanya since 2019 kickstarting the Asian leg of the season.
Sanya last featured during the inaugural Gen2 season, with Jean-Éric Vergne claiming victory for DS Techeetah. With the island having been absent from the calendar for so many years, the weekend comes with a great deal of uncertainty.
What is known is that it is likely to be the hottest and most humid event of the season, with current forecasts showing the possibility of thunderstorms, rain and bright sunshine on each day of the event.
Sanya represents the 11th round of the 17-race season and the start of the run towards the season finale in London, with Mitch Evans holding a 19-point lead in the drivers' standings.
Back in 2019, Vergne was joined on the podium by Oliver Rowland and António Félix da Costa, both of whom will be eager to repeat the achievement and boost their title hopes.
Rowland sits second in the championship, with Edoardo Mortara and Pascal Wehrlein third and fourth respectively, both firmly in contention.
Track action gets underway with first practice on Friday, 19 June, at 09:30 BST. Sanya operates on China Standard Time, which is seven hours ahead of BST.
On Saturday, 20 June, second practice kickstarts the main day of action at 01:30 BST, before qualifying at 03:40 BST. The 11th round of the season gets underway at 08:00 BST.
