Charles Leclerc has ended the sole practice session from the Miami International Autodrome on top of the timesheet.
F1 returned following its five-week break as the drivers got stuck into a 90-minute practice session ahead of sprint qualifying later today.
Four-time champion Max Verstappen was second fastest, three-tenths down on the session leader, while Oscar Piastri was the leading McLaren in third.
Lewis Hamilton was fourth, while Lando Norris' lap was ruined by a dawdling Williams of Alex Albon at the final corner on his hot lap.
Championship leader Kimi Antonelli failed to get a final hot lap on the board after an issue struck his power unit.
