George Russell has taken pole position for the sprint race at Zandvoort, beating Lando Norris to the top spot.
A very tightly contested session saw the top four separated by less than one-tenth of a second.
Russell's 1:11.567 was 0.41s faster than Norris, who was forced to settle for the runner-up slot.
Charles Leclerc was third fastest in the leading Ferrari, while Oscar Piastri rounded out the top four, 0.099s down on Russell.
Kimi Antonelli endured a difficult session as he slid off the road and into the gravel during SQ1, and could only muster fifth place on his final attempt.
Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda, who are racing for Red Bull and Racing Bulls respectively this weekend, ended the session in 11th and 12th.
