Lando Norris will have the biggest sum to pay for his FIA super license ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season, having scored the most points last season.

For four consecutive years, Max Verstappen had received the largest bill, although this spot has been taken by Norris after falling two points short of the McLaren driver.

Drivers competing in F1 have to pay a certain amount each year for their FIA super license. This is like a driver's license that allows you to participate in the pinnacle of motorsport. The cost of the license is over €1 million for the best performing drivers in the campaign prior.

The cost consists of a flat fee that is the same for every driver, which is €11,842. That will be paid by the returning Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, as well as rookie Arvid Lindblad.

However, on top of the flat fee, each driver must pay an additional €2,392 per point scored in 2025. Having not scored a point last year, Franco Colapinto will also only pay the flat fee.

As for the likes of Norris, Verstappen and Oscar Piastri, they all have huge sums to pay having all scored over 400 points – Piastri's fee is just short of the €1 million mark.

It should be noted that in all cases, the fee for each driver is paid by their respected team, and does is not included as part of the cost cap.

Wondering who has to pay what amount? Check out the full list below!
