George Russell converted Sprint pole into Sprint victory in China, following a tense fight with Kimi Antonelli.
Antonelli went off the circuit twice while fighting his Mercedes partner, causing the Italian to fall to third behind Lando Norris.
Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc completed the top five, with Max Verstappen finishing in a lonely seventh.
Lewis Hamilton finished in sixth at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and Arvid Lindblad secured the final point in eighth.
