It's time for the 2026 F1 British Grand Prix Driver Ratings!

As ever with a Sprint weekend, the rating awarded to each driver is reflective of both the Sprint and grand prix portions combined.

Who was oh so close to scoring a perfect 10, whilst his team-mate trails at the bottom?

Read on below to find out...

The top five

Kimi Antonell - 9.5

A near-faultless weekend, and he only fails to score a perfect 10 by missing out on Sprint race pole position by 0.011s in a car which then took grand prix pole by 0.175s. Had 10-lap fresher tyres at the end on Leclerc and was hunting him down until the wheel shield failure, which was nothing to do with him. Great credit for trying to continue to rescue points, but track limits in an uncontrollable car ended that.

Charles Leclerc - 9

Was firmly the second-best Ferrari in the first-half of the weekend, but made a breakthrough in qualifying with his driving style, and adapted accordingly to put in his best performance of the season. Was faster in all three qualifying segments and drove without fault in the race, getting the luck with Antonelli's failure.

Liam Lawson - 8.5

A typically feisty performance in the Sprint to earn a point and defeat the faster Red Bull of Hadjar helps to earn back some credit after being defeated by Lindblad by a big margin in grand prix qualifying. Was in P9 or P10 throughout the weekend, and when those ahead hit trouble, was there to scoop up another huge reward, with sixth place.

Lando Norris - 8

McLaren was firmly the fourth-fastest team at Silverstone, as shown by Piastri's performance, but Norris was able to rescue a third place in the Sprint and fourth in the grand prix, which could have been third if Hamilton was penalised. Extracted the most from his machinery.

Gabriel Bortoleto - 8

Was on the fringes of the top 10 in qualifying, but drove an assured race to beat the Alpines and score eighth place, more than doubling Audi's haul of two points all season. Had the measure of Hulkenberg throughout the weekend, which is no mean feat.

The bottom five

Esteban Ocon - 5

Ocon is struggling in the car at the minute, and is cycling through a combination of floors in a bid to find the balance he needs. He couldn't find it at Silverstone as he was a step behind Bearman throughout.

Fernando Alonso - 5

Given Aston Martin's struggles at Silverstone with some onboard footage particularly eye-opening, a par score is fair for both drivers. Out-qualified again by Stroll for the grand prix.

Lance Stroll - 5

Given Aston Martin's struggles at Silverstone with some onboard footage particularly eye-opening, a par score is fair for both drivers.

George Russell - 4.5

He used the word "lucky" to describe his second place - and that is certainly what it was. Drubbed in both qualifying sessions, and hinted at a potential top-end speed problem with the car in qualifying. Earns some credit back for the duels with Hamilton and Verstappen in the race and was not at fault for the slow puncture, and lucked into P2 by staying out under the Verstappen safety car whilst Hamilton pitted. A lot to ponder on.

Oscar Piastri - 4.5

Was unlucky to, in his words, be "sandwiched" at the start of the chaos and break his front-wing after Lawson contact, but was a huge step behind Norris. Whereas Norris was able to drag an uncompetitive car into positions it should not have been and picked up rewards when others faltered, Piastri did not. Earns a little credit back for rising to P11 and on the cusp of a point.
