George Russell continued his weekend of redemption at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya by topping FP3, ahead of Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc.
The Mercedes driver went quickest in FP1, a session Kimi Antonelli did not compete in, but was quicker than the F1 drivers' championship leader in the second hour of running in Spain.
The 28-year-old was eight-tenths faster than his team-mate, who finished seventh in the final free practice session at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.
Antonelli encountered traffic on his last push lap of the session, leaving the Italian aggravated and questioning why it happened.
The six-time grand prix winner will also be investigated after the session for driving erratically at Turn 2, understood to be for blocking Aston Martin's Lance Stroll.
It was a quiet session in all, with Valtteri Bottas triggering the only red flag interruption after an alarming problem with his Cadillac.
