Dino Beganovic roared to the opening FIA F2 pole position of the 2026 season at the Australian Grand Prix, as Colton Herta could only manage 14th.
The former IndyCar star was unable to complete a clean lap in the session until the final moments, where, despite setting the fastest sector 2 time of all, he still ended over one second slower than Beganovic, who starts the feature from pole.
Sprint race pole will go to Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak of ART, with the top 10 being reversed.
