Kimi Antonelli has topped the opening morning of pre-season testing as the rookie continues to get up to speed at Mercedes.
The Italian was just over one-tenth of a second faster than Liam Lawson, who had the most dramatic moment of the session with a spin at Turn 2.
Alex Albon was third for Williams while the newly painted white Racing Bulls car, driven by Yuki Tsunoda was fifth.
Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top five in his first official session for Ferrari.
