Jak Crawford topped the F1 post-season at the Yas Marina Circuit for Aston Martin, going less than a tenth of a second quicker than Paul Aron, who was driving for Stake/Audi.
With most of the regular drivers splitting one car and young drivers running the full nine-hour day as part of that test, it was five reserves who locked out the top five places on the timing board.
Luke Browning, who had been atop the standings at the midway stage of the day, finished third fastest for Williams.
Kimi Antonelli was the first of the established F1 drivers, in sixth, with Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton and newly-crowned world champion Lando Norris filling out positions in the mid-pack.
Isack Hadjar got his first run behind the wheel at Red Bull since news of his promotion for 2026 was delivered, as he ended the day in 21st.
The test marked the final on-track action of the year as the sport now enters preparations for the new season under fresh technical regulations.
