Max Verstappen ended second practice at the top of the timesheets, ahead of this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix.
Nine drivers missed first practice due to teams using Mexico as an opportunity to complete a mandatory rookie session, making second practice one of gathering data.
Verstappen, who was one of the nine to miss FP1, went quickest on a 1m 17.392. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was his closest challenger in second, but still 0.153s adrift.
Kimi Antonelli, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton completed the top five, while championship leader Oscar Piastri was 12th and eight-tenths adrift following a big mistake on his best lap.
