Andrea Kimi Antonelli has claimed victory for the first time in a Formula 2 feature race at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Prema driver started on the had tyres for what turned out to be a timed race, and it appeared his strategy had backfired with an early safety car when pole-sitter Paul Aron tagged fellow title contender Zane Maloney on lap 7, putting both out.
This promoted Antonelli to the lead, but with a pit-stop still required, with Victor Martins, who led into Turn 1 on the opening lap from fifth on the grid, in the box-seat.
However, a crash for Amaury Cordeel at Turn 4 - similar to Charles Leclerc's in F1 FP2 on Friday - brought out a second safety car.
This allowed Antonelli to pit under the safety car for soft tyres, rejoining fifth, and was up to third on the first lap of the restart.
He then quickly passed Martins to lead and pulled away for a comfortable first feature win, having already won the Silverstone sprint last time out.
Martins was second ahead of Richard Verschoor, who did cross the line first in the sprint on Saturday but was disqualified for technical reasons. Sprint winner Kush Maini took seventh.
Ollie Bearman was 15th in the sister Prema as none of the title contenders scored points - a feat which also happened in the F3 feature earlier in the day.
Aron botched his pole position and start, locking up heavily and running fifth by the end of the first sector, before being caught out and colliding with Maloney at Turn 2, putting both out.
Championship leader Isack Hadjar was set to start from third on the grid, but bizarrely failed to make it out of the pits before they closed, meaning he was forced to start from the pit-lane, finishing 18th.
