Lewis Hamilton kicked off the Monaco Grand Prix weekend by posting the fastest time in Free Practice 1.
A 1:12.169 on the soft tyres was enough for the Mercedes to top the session, narrowly ahead of McLaren's Oscar Piastri with George Russell and Lando Norris slotting in behind.
It was a difficult session for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez as they took 11th and 12th, although neither set their fastest lap on the soft tyres, struggling with the RB20 over the bumps.
