George Russell topped a heavily-disrupted first practice ahead of this weekend's Mexican Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver went fastest on a 1:17.998, and was three tenths clear of Carlos Sainz in second. Yuki Tsunoda, Max Verstappen and Nico Hulkenberg completed the top five.
Two red flags were flown in the opening 22 minutes of first practice, the first as a result of debris on the circuit.
The second was triggered by an accident between Alex Albon and Oliver Bearman, whilst Verstappen's session ended a few minutes early after reporting of having no power.
