Max Verstappen claimed the first sprint victory of the season in the Chinese Grand Prix event, overtaking Lewis Hamilton.
At lights out, Hamilton edged Lando Norris wide at Turn 2 as the McLaren dropped to seventh from pole with the Mercedes leading Fernando Alonso and Verstappen.
After a battery issue, Verstappen regrouped and sliced past both Alonso and Hamilton to ease to another sprint win in the 19 lap affair.
Norris was seventh as home favourite Zhou Guanyu took 10th, but no points.
