Max Verstappen has taken pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix, out-pacing the competition to take the top spot on the timesheets.
The Dutchman set the fastest lap ahead of Charles Leclerc and will lead the field for the start of Saturday's race.
Taking the spots on the second row of the grid was George Russell and Carlos Sainz, while the second Red Bull of Sergio Perez was fifth.
It was a nightmare session for Alpine as Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly were the two slowest cars in the field.
