Luke Browning has taken pole position for the Formula 3 feature race on Sunday, besting Max Esterson to the top spot.
Rain pelted the circuit in the final 15 minutes of the session, making conditions difficult for drivers to improve their efforts from earlier in the session.
However, in the final moments a number of drivers improved to change the pecking order.
Sami Meguetounif was third, with Leonardo Fornaroli taking fourth place.
It was a disastrous session for championship contender Dino Beganovic, who is set to start both races this from 19th.
