Lando Norris has topped the Sprint Shootout and will lead the field at the start of the sprint race later today.
The Briton bested Max Verstappen by just 0.061 with the second Red Bull of Sergio Perez ending the session third ahead of George Russell.
Both AlphaTauri's managed to get into the top 10 with Yuki Tsunoda in sixth while team-mate Daniel Ricciardo classified in eighth.
There was a bizarre incident in SQ1 when Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon collided at Turn 3, with the latter being pitched into the barrier.
