The 2021 IndyCar season calendar is here for fans of the American open wheel racing series, with teams and drivers set to compete at 17 races.
All of the races that were kept off the 2020 calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic are back, with the exception of the Circuit of the Americas and Richmond Raceway, while the Iowa Speedway has been dropped.
The action gets underway on 18 April at the Barber Motorsports Park with the running of the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama Presented by AmFirst, followed by a trip to St. Petersburg on 25 April. The world-famous Indianapolis 500 will take place on the 30th of May.
A three-race trip out west will conclude the season, with the 17th and final round taking place at Laguna Seca on 26 September.
